Internationally-renowned artstar Nasty Canasta is frequently hailed as a genius of the neo-burlesque scene. A "burlesque queen" (The NY Times) and Runner Up at the 2010 Miss Exotic World Pageant, Nasty is host and producer of Naked Girls Reading NYC and an associate producer with Wasabassco. A full-time burlesque performer, producer and costumer for the past decade, Nasty draws on her years of experience in the theatre to create acts and shows that combine tease and titillation, humor, spectacle and theatricality. She teaches private and group burlesque classes, has performed across the US and in Canada and Europe, and worked as a snake charmer and contortionist with the world-famous Coney Island Circus Sideshow in Brooklyn, NY.
Known as “The Golden Glamazon”, Sydni has beautiful alluring features, and and stands at a statuesque and very leggy 6’8” while wearing heels. Her charming performance style is an entertaining mix of wit, finesse and sophisticated musicality. Sydni is also an associate producer, host, and core member of Wasabassco. She has been voted into the top 50 burlesque performers in the world for the last 3 years running, and in 2013 took the title of Princess of Burlesque at Miss Exotic World.
Hazel Honeysuckle has been playing dress-up all her life, and lives to showcase both her love of classic burlesque as well as being a crazy, stupid nerd. A versatile performer, and core member of Wasabassco, she can be sweet and innocent yet also bump and grind! As a dancer, singer, model, costumer and actress, she performs on stages (and screens) all over NYC, the USA, and around the world.
Described by the New York Times as "pure sexy", Medianoche has been a staple in the New York City burlesque scene since 2008, and has won multiple awards throughout the United States. She travels as close as Brooklyn and as far as Russia with her polished, distinctive take on classic burlesque. Known for her extravagant costumes and aptly dubbed "Sin in an Hourglass", Medianoche is a regular performer with Wasabassco.
Crowned Miss Starlet Burlesque at the Hollywood Burlesque Festival and winner of the Pennsylvania Burlesque Festival's coveted Crystal Corset Award... Poison Ivory is a New York based Burlesque performer who is a force to seen. With a background in theater and dance, Ivory combines her exceptional musicality with sultry, and sensual movements that always leave her audience wanting more.
The Great Deceiver! A master of illusion and charm, Albert Cadabra is an award-winning comedy sideshow magician who conjures astonishing and devilishly wild magic. Pushing and twisting the boundaries of the art of magic, Albert is internationally known for his unique performances; you can see him eating a dinner of razor blades and washing them down by swallowing a 3 foot long balloon whole, hammering 6 inch spikes into his face, electrocuting himself with 2,000 volts of electricity and transforming his assistant into a gorilla. He is capable of vanishing people and animals at will, and is an expert at escaping from chains, shackles, locked crates and straight jackets, even while strung 40 feet in the air by his ankles, only held safe by a flimsy bit of rope. All this and more, Albert delivers with unmatchable style, class and his inviting sense of humor.
Mr. Gorgeous has been charming audiences around the globe since 2009, with his comedic and charismatic approach to contemporary burlesque. He has become a frequent persona in NYC nightlife, working several iconic venues including The Slipper Room, The Box NYC, and Galapagos Art Space. Gorgeous has had the opportunity to perform in Dita Von Teese’s touring show “Strip Strip Hooray” and was awarded “Most Comedic “at the Burlesque Hall of Fame in Las Vegas in 2013. Most recently, he was named “Mr. Exotic World - King of Boylesque 2014”.
Amanda Whip is a Professional Panty Picker Upper/stage creep who dabbles in contortion, smut, performance art, and portrait painting. Always innovating, she attempts to use her creative and physical talents to transform the art of stage kittening into a performance in itself.
Chris Harder is a NYC based boylesque performer and adult entertainer. For the past 6 years, Harder has unsnapped his g-strings throughout the burlesque and gay nightlife communities as well as touring internationally with performances in London, Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam, and Belgium. Chris Harder has been awarded the NYC GLAM Award for "Best Go-Go Boy" (2011) as well as "Best Burlesque Performer" (2012, 2013) along with winning the crown for "Best International Male Performer" at the 2012 London Burlesque Games.
Sapphire Jones has been gracing and grinding the stages of New York since 2008. She is a sweet and sexy burlesque dancer with a flare for the comedic, having even been called the “Lucille Ball” of burlesque. Sapphire has performed up and down the east coast, been a centerfold in UFC magazine and got the ultimate glory when briefly mentioned by Charles Isherwood in the NY Times. She has been performing with her amazing Wasabassco Burlesque family since 2008 and started hosting shows with Union Hall in 2010. She can be seen at venues such as The Bell House, City Winery, and any establishment that serves a nice chilled glass of white wine.
The curator of The Wasabassco Hellfire Club, Stormy Leather is a hurricane of intellectual sexuality, creating acts that are provoking, passionate, and fantastically erotic. Best known as the "Perverted Pixie" Penny Wren is a wide-eyed danger. Her first burlesque stage performance took place in September of 2011, though she has been dazzling New York audiences since 2007 as a modern dancer and choreographer. She is a regular performer with Wasabassco and has danced for musical artists such as Bon Jovi, Robin Bacior, Vampire Weekend and Harold Haven. Her antics are rife with narrative, humor and drama that are altogether charming and absurd; delightful and weird. Ms. Wren is a scintillating whirlwind that teases, captivates, beams, and bites.
